ThessalonikiIn Thessaloniki you are the patrician of one of the most prominent families in the city, during its 4th Roman era.
Dabbling in fluctuating commerce and intense politics, they compete for riches and influence. Yet the shrewdest will rise above the chaos, managing with meticulous planning, and strategic acumen to overpower their opponents and wrest fortune and control from their opponents' clutches.
In Thessaloniki, players take the role of influential patricians that seek to produce and trade commodities, build trading posts and monuments, fulfill contracts, and meet the demands of other trading hubs of the era.
Consisting of a variable number of rounds, players alternate taking turns and building their strategies by moving their workers on a rondel-style board.
In each turn, you gain commodities, take actions, and trigger an end-of-turn effect where applicable.
A crucial part of competition takes part in the Port - you want to optimize when to load the right commodities on the trading ships set to various destinations. Shipping commodities brings numerous rewards - victory points, instant benefits, etc.
To achieve your goals you must trade efficiently, upgrae your warehouse, fulfill the contracts that suit your plans and populate both the city and the trading hubs with your buildings.
The player who collects the most victory points by the end of the game is the winner of Thessaloniki!
